Minuspluse Design reimagines office pantry as central lounge in Taipei workspace
In Taipei, Taiwan, Minuspluse Design has completed Office H, a 6,406 m² workspace for a financial consulting firm, completed in 2024. Led by architects Yu-Hsuan Chu and Yu-Chen Chang, the project repositions the employee interaction lounge as the heart of the office, challenging the traditional tucked-away pantry. Through 'diverted circulation' and a 'separate yet connected' layout, the design aims to attract employees back to the office in the era of remote and hybrid work. The use of materiality, abundant natural light, and intentional blank spaces is intended to reduce workplace stress and inject calm into the fast-paced financial industry. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro and photographed by Studio Millspace.
