MINT-V2X Dataset Integrates Mobility and Network Data for V2X Research

digital · 2026-07-29

Researchers have unveiled a new dataset called MINT-V2X, which combines vehicle movement data with wireless network metrics to improve resource management in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications. This dataset features 9.87 million synchronized data points gathered from 1,386 vehicles and 15 roadside units (RSUs) during a three-hour urban traffic simulation. It was created by merging SUMO traffic dynamics with OMNeT++/Simu5G network simulations. To maintain data quality, a validation framework has been developed that includes 14 standardized tests aligned with 3GPP Release 14 (C-V2X), ETSI standards, and Shannon capacity theory. This dataset addresses a major gap in publicly available resources, which typically offer either mobility or network data, but not both.
