Mini Boom! Exhibition at Taoyuan Children's Art Center Explores Miniatures in Contemporary Art
From November 26, 2025, to March 2, 2026, the Taoyuan Children's Art Center is teaming up with the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan for an event called "Mini Boom!" This exhibition will feature a variety of miniature art pieces, including historical dollhouses like a 19th-century German kitchen and Yong-Yong's Toy House. It invites guests to think about themes related to home life and gender roles. An interactive timeline will include notable works such as Laurie Simmons and Peter Wheelwright's Kaleidoscope House (2001) and Marcel Duchamp's Boîte-en-valise (1935-41, reproduced 2015). Contemporary artists like Suzuki Takahiko and Chen Yin-Ling will explore globalization and daily life, while children can engage with miniature items and multimedia exhibits.
