Mina collaborates with Balenciaga for capsule collection and new music

Italian singer Mina has officially entered the fashion world through a collaboration with French maison Balenciaga. The partnership was announced in a dialogue between Balenciaga creative director Demna and Mina's son and producer Massimiliano Pani in the September issue of Vogue Italia. The collaboration includes a capsule called Balenciaga Music | Mina, featuring an exclusive T-shirt with Mina's face on the front and a list of her 107 albums on the back, and sunglasses inspired by her iconic eye makeup. The items will be available from September 19, coinciding with the pre-release of "L'amore vero," the first single from Mina's upcoming album due in November. A playlist of 50 songs curated by Mina is also included. This marks the first time Mina has officially collaborated with a fashion house for merchandise and released new music in partnership with a brand. Demna discovered Mina in a bar in Veneto in 2011, drawn to her music during a personal breakup. Mina has long been a fashion icon, wearing short skirts and top Italian designers when they were emerging, and her style has inspired fashion houses like Gucci, which closed its September 2023 show with her song "Ancora ancora ancora."
