Mimmo Rotella Legacy Association Founded by Daughter Asya Rotella

On January 26, 2026, Asya Rotella and her mother Inna Agarounova announced the formation of the Mimmo Rotella Legacy association, following their resignation from the Fondazione Mimmo Rotella due to management disagreements. The new entity aims to protect and promote the work of Mimmo Rotella (1918–2006), serving as a reference for collectors, institutions, and art professionals. The association will continue the rigorous scientific methodology established by Germano Celant and his team, focusing on authentication, research, exhibitions, and publications. A key innovation is the introduction of digital certificates to enhance transparency and traceability of artworks. The association also plans to build an archive of documents and historical materials, though it will not be open for public consultation initially. Asya Rotella emphasized the family's responsibility as sole heirs to safeguard the artist's legacy and ensure its correct interpretation.
