exhibition · 2026-04-27

Mimmo Paladino, born in 1948 in Paduli, will be highlighted in the exhibition 'Storyboard. L’arte di Mimmo Paladino tra disegni e cinema d’animazione,' which opens on July 29 at Galleria Civica Renato Guttuso in Bagheria, coinciding with the sixth Animaphix – International Animated Film Festival. This event, organized in partnership with Galleria Drago Artecontemporanea, presents Paladino's filmic creations through both still and animated visuals. Notably, Paladino, a prominent figure in Italian Transavanguardia, directed 'Quijote' in 2006 with Peppe Servillo among the cast. The exhibition features three animated shorts: 'Invenzioni di Don Chisciotte,' 'Il Sembra e l’Alzolaio' (2013), and 'Giocosamente' (2007), showcasing approximately eighty paper works. It will be open until September 15, with the opening reception at 7 PM.
