Mimma Pisani, the lifelong partner and collaborator of visionary artist Vettor Pisani, has died in Rome. She was the first performer of his historic works, including 'Scorrevole' (1970) and 'Io Edipo amico a volte di Freud' (1971) at the Biennale de Paris. Mimma produced writings and videos for nearly all his exhibitions, collected in the book 'Il lettore capovolto' (2011). She co-authored works such as 'L'angelo dell'Occidente' at Fondazione Morra in Naples (2004), where she exhibited 34 poems alongside her husband's drawings. She also directed videos under her own name. Her literary output includes poetry collections and the novel 'Muraglia' (2018, Laruffa), set in Puglia with a visionary language mixing Bari dialect. Born Carmela Bianco in Bari, she co-founded the avant-garde gallery 'La Metopa' (1963–1965) and the off-theatre group 'La Gironda', which brought the Living Theatre to Bari in 1966.
