MimasterIllustrazione launches illustrated survival guides for publishing professionals

MimasterIllustrazione, a Milan-based educational institution, has expanded its series of illustrated career guides with two new volumes: 'The Illustrated Survival Guide. Editors and Publishers' and 'The Illustrated Survival Guide. Translators'. These join the existing 'The Illustrators Survival Guide' to map professions in the book industry. The guides, illustrated by Daniele Morganti and Libero Gozzini, offer practical advice from industry professionals. The editors' guide, authored by Ivan Canu and Giacomo Benelli, covers editing, author-publisher relations, marketing, communication, proofreading, literary prizes, and trade fairs. The translators' guide, co-authored with translators Laura Cangemi and Roberta Scarabelli, addresses translation from fiction to poetry to illustrated books, including contracts, fairs, festivals, and training courses. Both volumes feature testimonials from dozens of experts. Published by Corraini, each 72-page book costs €12 and is available in Italian and English from February 16, 2021. The guides were created in collaboration with Fondazione Mondadori and Laboratorio Formentini, with support from Fondazione Cariplo.
