Milton Keynes Arts Centre hosts online auction of ceramic plates by 46 artists to fund outreach and residency programs
From 7 to 21 March, Milton Keynes Arts Centre, a cultural non-profit, will host an online auction to raise funds for its outreach program aimed at children from local communities who have limited access to arts resources. A total of 46 artists and designers, such as Jeremy Deller, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Paul Housley, Richard Slee, and Richard Wentworth, have been invited to craft original pieces on ceramic plates, which will start at £100. These plates will also be displayed at the Arts Centre throughout the auction. Proceeds will support 'A Space of Possibilities,' an educational outreach project by architects Studio Weave, and help establish a residency program in the 17th-century Almhouse on the Arts Centre grounds. The auction catalogue can be viewed and registered for online.
