Millo's New Mural 'Strike the Right Note' at FARM Festival in Putignano

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

After a year-long hiatus, the FARM Festival in Putignano, Puglia, resumes with a new edition featuring concerts and artistic events. To inaugurate the festival, internationally renowned street artist Millo (Francesco Camillo Giorgino) created a mural titled 'Strike the right note' on the 120-square-meter east wall of the historic Ex Macello, the festival's venue. The artwork depicts a child playing a musical instrument whose keys are olive tree roots—a symbol of Puglia—while a girl sits on the tree listening, set against a chaotic urban backdrop. Millo, originally from Mesagne (Brindisi), spent a week at the Ex Macello to complete the piece, which combines his passion for music and his cultural roots. The mural aims to convey a message of rebirth and resilience, typical of Millo's style characterized by childlike figures and strong chromatic contrasts. His works have adorned neighborhoods in Turin, Naples, Casablanca, Mexico City, Berlin, and Los Angeles. The FARM Festival seeks to enhance the beauty of the Puglia region through this intervention.
