Milano Scultura Returns to Novegro for Fifth Edition

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

Milano Scultura, Italy's first art fair exclusively dedicated to plastic arts, opens today November 12 and runs through November 14 at its new venue, Parco Esposizioni di Novegro, just outside Milan. The fair, now in its fifth edition, was conceived by Ilaria Centola and curated by Valerio Dehò. The move from the former Fabbrica del Vapore location provides larger exhibition spaces. The fair coincides with the Brocantage antiques market, creating a synergy of diverse audiences. This year's special project, Primigènio, introduces the works on display. The layout moves beyond traditional booths, with approximately 25 exhibitors including galleries, institutions, workshops, and artists selected curatorially. Artists participate directly with their own projects in the Limited section, while a new section called Circus focuses on large-scale works. The involvement of schools returns, notably the Accademia di Brera, which has participated since the first edition. The exhibition features sculptures in fused metals such as bronze, gold, aluminum, and pewter, combined with various materials, highlighting the relationship between teacher and student.
