Milano's Former Jazz Club Le Scimmie Reopens as NOISE Cultural Hub by Cinemino
After a decade of closure, the historic Milanese music venue Le Scimmie at Via Ascanio Sforza 49 reopens on November 12, 2025, as NOISE, a new cultural space founded by Cinemino's Agata De Laurentiis and Guido Casali, alongside Giorgio Scorza of Movimenti Production. The venue, renovated by Atelier delle Verdure, features a 30-seat cinema, a modular stage for live performances, a garden, and a bar with affordable drinks and food from Baladin and Panaté Gli Evitati. Artistic direction is by I Distratti. NOISE aims to serve the diverse community of Municipio 5 (120,000+ inhabitants), offering inclusive programming with 90% original-language films starting November 20, including titles like 'The Mastermind' and 'Le Città di Pianura'. The opening poster is designed by Zerocalcare. The project extends Cinemino's community-oriented model, which has hosted figures like Luca Guadagnino and Valerio Mastandrea since 2018.
