Milano's 2017-2018 Exhibition Season: 39 Shows, €15M Budget
Milan's Municipality has revealed an exhibition schedule for 2017-2018, comprising 39 events with a budget of €15 million, of which under €1 million is sourced from public funds. The season kicks off with 'Dentro Caravaggio' at Palazzo Reale on September 28, 2017. Notable exhibitions include 'About Art' by Keith Haring (February 21–June 18, 2017), 'New York, New York' (April 12–September 17, 2017), 'Manet e la Parigi moderna' (March 8–July 2, 2017), 'Il mondo fluttuante di Toulouse Lautrec' (October 2017–February 2018), and 'Kandinskij il cavaliere errante' (March 15–July 9, 2017). The PAC will host 'Io, Luca Vitone' (October 3–December 3, 2017), 'Mea Culpa' (March 29–June 4, 2017), and 'AFRICA' (June 27–September 17, 2017). Additional artists featured include Vincenzo Agnetti, Lucian Freud, and Frida Kahlo. The announcement was made by Assessore alla Cultura Filippo Del Corno.
