architecture-design · 2026-05-05

During the 2017 Milano Design Week, Piazza Gorani hosted FOYER GORANI, a project curated by Federica Sala/PS featuring international talents Sigve Knutson, Sabine Marcelis, Philipp Weber, and Matteo Cibic, known for their research-driven approach to unconventional material processing. The collective BLoft, a Gumdesign creation, debuted at Salone del Mobile, aggregating designers and artisans focused on furniture and jewelry. At Garage San Remo, Cartier presented a new jewelry collection inspired by nails and mechanical minutiae, with an installation by New York artist Desi Santiago featuring a gold-plated Corvette suspended from the ceiling. The gallery Secondome curated a second edition at Ladies&Gentlemen in via Correnti, showcasing new names. Apparatu's project for Cosentino experimented with Dekton material for archetypal tableware, while Silipol Studies n.2 presented a table collection recalling Franco Albini's preferred color schemes.
