Milano da Vinci: 25,000 euro prize for young creatives inspired by Leonardo
Fondazione Italiana Accenture, in collaboration with the Comune di Milano and Fondazione Milano – Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti, has launched Milano da Vinci, a call for teams under 35 to create new media projects inspired by Leonardo da Vinci. The initiative coincides with the 2019 quincentenary of Leonardo's death. Projects must promote Milan's Leonardo-related sites, such as the Sala delle Asse at Castello Sforzesco, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, the Cenacolo, and the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia. Two winning teams will each receive €12,500, plus training including e-learning, workshops, and mentorship. The deadline for submissions is February 4, 2019. Roberta Guaineri, Milan's tourism assessor, stated that the nine months of celebrations offer an opportunity to strengthen Milan's tourist appeal. The call is part of a broader promotional plan involving institutions and private entities.
