Milano Art Week 2025: 100+ Events Across the City
The ninth edition of Milano Art Week runs from April 1 to 6, 2025, transforming Milan into a platform for artistic expression and critical reflection. Over 100 events span photography, performance, street art, sculpture, and design. Highlights include Nico Vascellari's 'Pastorale' at Palazzo Reale (curated by Sergio Risaliti, opening April 1), inspired by the Sala delle Cariatidi's history from its 1943 bombing to the 1953 display of Picasso's Guernica. Shirin Neshat's first major Italian retrospective at PAC features nearly 200 photographs and a dozen video installations, alongside a solo show by Celine Croze. On April 4, Koyo Kouoh, curator of the 61st Venice Biennale, delivers a lecture organized by MAC – Milano Art Community. Other key exhibitions: Anna Boghiguian and Ugo Rondinone at GAM; Pippa Bacca at Palazzo Morando; John Giorno tribute at Triennale (opening March 15); 'Travelogue' and street art interventions at MUDEC; 'Typologien' and Thierry De Cordier at Fondazione Prada; 'Rauschenberg e il Novecento' at Museo del Novecento (centenary collaboration with miart); 'Etruschi del Novecento' at Fondazione Rovati; and 'Best of Both Worlds: Italy' at ADI Design Museum. The week also features Robert Wilson's installation at Castello Sforzesco, solo shows by Gian Maria Tosatti at Lia Rumma and Yukinori Yanagi at Hangar Bicocca, and the opening of BG ArtGallery by Banca Generali.
