festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The seventh edition of Milano MuseoCity will take place from March 3 to 5, 2023, transforming Milan into a diffuse museum with 113 participating institutions. The theme is "La Luce dei Musei" (The Light of Museums). Organized by the City of Milan's Culture Department led by Tommaso Sacchi in collaboration with the MuseoCity association, the event features special visits, guided tours, exhibitions, conferences, and workshops. Highlights include the return of "Museo Segreto," revealing 72 secret works; exhibitions at Palazzo Reale such as "A casa del Viceré" focusing on Napoleonic Milan and "TRE-DI-CI" showcasing 13 Lombard museums through photographers; and the new "Dialoghi" project bringing works from other Lombard provinces to Milanese institutions. Free shuttles will run to MUMAC and Kartell Museo. First-time participants include Museo Arte e Scienza, MUSA (Europe's first university museum of anthropological-forensic sciences for human rights), the Franca Valeri archive at Accademia dei Filodrammatici, and MusAB at Brera Astronomical Observatory with an augmented reality tour.
