Milan to honor gallerist Pasquale Leccese with a plaque in Via Gorani
A plaque honoring Pasquale Leccese (1957–2023), the founder of the renowned gallery Le Case D'Arte, will be revealed on April 10, 2024, at Via Gorani 8 in Milan. Leccese, who relocated from Bari to Milan in 1982, opened the gallery in 1986 and became a significant presence in the city's art community. He held the position of artistic director at MiArt from 2001 to 2007 and established the gallerist association Start Milano, leading it from 2006 to 2012. The initiative for the plaque comes from his close friends and his children, Paolina and Vito Leccese, with Galleria Allegra Ravizza overseeing the project. The unveiling ceremony will commence at 6 PM, followed by an aperitif. This tribute follows a previous event at PAC on November 6, 2023, curated by Giulia Currà and others, with culture councilor Tommaso Sacchi in attendance. This event occurs just before Miart, which begins on April 12, and Milan Design Week 2024, starting April 15.
