Milan seeks director for three civic art museums

The Municipality of Milan has published a call for applications to select a director for the Polo of modern and contemporary art, encompassing the Museo del Novecento, Galleria d'Arte Moderna, and Museo delle Culture (MUDEC). The position is a fixed-term contract lasting 2 to 5 years. Assessor to Culture Filippo del Corno stated the commitment to find a director who can coordinate programming across the three institutions. The call is open to external candidates with proven professional qualifications not found within the administration, as well as permanent public administration employees with at least five years of service in category D. Requirements include a degree in humanities, philosophy, cultural heritage, or architecture; at least five years of managerial experience in medium-to-large museums or cultural institutions; and proven expertise in modern and contemporary art. Applications must be submitted from November 21 until noon on December 12, 2016.
