Milan Science Museum Reports Record 400k Visitors in 2022, Celebrates 70th Anniversary
In 2022, the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia di Milano attracted more than 400,000 visitors, with over half being international guests, including 70,000 who attended special events. Director Fiorenzo Marco Galli announced that the museum will mark its 70th anniversary on February 15, 2023, starting celebrations on January 20 with a project named 'Fatti per Capire,' curated by Barbara Gallavotti. The museum operates with a €13 million budget, primarily funded by self-generated revenue and private donations. Future initiatives include the 'Collezioni di Studio' which will display items like the 'Tenda Rossa' from the 1928 Dirigibile Italia expedition, alongside a new Astrario by Giovanni Dondi and an interactive STEM lab called 'Viaggi per mare.'
