exhibition · 2026-04-27

Located in Milan, the Cittadella degli Archivi contains 36 kilometers of documents and more than 150,000 folders. Since its inception in 2015, the street art project Muri d’artista, overseen by Rossella Farinotti, has transformed the Niguarda/Bicocca district with contributions from over 60 artists. In 2018, Vedovamazzei unveiled a 7-meter neon piece titled "La città che sale. Omaggio a Boccioni." The 2021 edition, curated by Isorropia Homegallery, introduced 40 murals spanning 1,500 square meters, showcasing ten artists’ interpretations of Milan's history. In December 2021, the city announced a 17 million euro investment for a new storage system, with aspirations to establish Cittadella as Europe’s largest archival center, as noted by Director Francesco Martelli and curator Farinotti.
