Milan's Casa degli Artisti tender opens for 12-year concession

The Municipality of Milan has published a tender for the management of Casa degli Artisti, a historic building in the Brera district originally conceived in the early 20th century as studios for artists. The rental fee is set at €49,216.50, with a 12-year concession. Eligible bidders are non-profit entities and temporary associations. The winner must manage artist hospitality and cultural activities, maintaining the building's original function as an art workshop and laboratory. Renovation works are nearing completion, with handover expected after certifications. The initiative is a public-private partnership involving the Municipality, Municipio 1, and La Ducale SpA (Gruppo Tecnocasa). Architects Giovanni Da Pozzo (Studio Arassociati), Aldo Fontana, and Tanja Bekjarova led the restoration, preserving original features while adding contemporary elements. The building spans over 1,200 square meters. Bids are due by September 17, 2018.
