Milan Names Garden After Diabolik's Creators, the Giussani Sisters
A garden in Piazza Grandi has been named in honor of Angela and Luciana Giussani, the creators of the comic series Diabolik. This tribute, in partnership with Astorina, will be unveiled on June 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM by culture councilor Tommaso Sacchi alongside the heirs of the authors. This event marks the 60th anniversary of Diabolik, which first appeared in November 1962. The Giussani sisters, who wrote under the pseudonym "A. and L. Giussani," initially hid their identities due to societal expectations. Known as the "King of Terror," Diabolik ranks among Italy's top-selling comics. Additionally, Astorina plans to publish a commemorative volume titled "Cento volte in gioco" on June 10, 2022, which includes an exclusive interview with Angela Giussani.
