Milan museums to reopen from February 9 after brief closure
Milan's civic museums are set to reopen in stages starting February 9, 2021, ahead of the original schedule. Culture councilor Filippo Del Corno, initially cautious, has expedited the reopening following the transition of Lombardy to the yellow zone, which allowed other institutions to resume operations. From February 9, visitors can explore exhibitions at Palazzo Reale, Museo del Novecento, Castello Sforzesco, Museo Archeologico, Studio Museo Francesco Messina, Casa Boschi di Stefano, and Mudec. On February 16, permanent collections at Castello Sforzesco, Acquario Civico, GAM, Palazzo Moriggia, Palazzo Morando, and the Luisa Lambri. Autoritratto exhibition at PAC will also welcome back guests. A complete reopening is anticipated in early March, aligning with MuseoCity (March 4-7) and showcasing exhibitions dedicated to female artists. Del Corno emphasized the importance of weekend hours.
