Milan Auction House Art-Rite Rebrands as Kruso Art Under Bank Ownership
Milan-based auction house Art-Rite, acquired in 2022 by Kruso Kapital (part of Banca Sistema Group), has rebranded as Kruso Art. The new name aligns with the KrusoK Aste app, launched in February 2025, which now hosts the auction house's sales. Federico Bianchi, head of the Modern and Contemporary Art Department, stated the rebranding aims to strengthen ties to the banking group and offer curated auction experiences. Kruso Art claims to be Italy's first auction house owned by a banking group. Bianchi noted benefits include greater market stability, formalized processes, and access to new client segments. The auction house reported strong results in early 2025: a Tullio Crali painting sold for €25,500 in April, a Chaumet tiara and necklace from the Joséphine collection fetched €87,500 in May, a Pausilippe letter sold for €40,260 in April, and a Liber Chronicarum achieved €38,750 in March during its 100th auction. A new Luxury Fashion department has been opened, responding to the Great Wealth Transfer trend. Upcoming auctions include rare books on June 26 and modern and contemporary art on July 3, 2025.
