Miguel Chevalier's Voûtes Célestes at Saint-Eustache
Following his successful installation at the Unicredit Pavilion in Milan, Miguel Chevalier (Mexico City, 1959) has returned to Paris with a new generative and interactive work presented during Nuit Blanche on October 1. Titled Voûtes Célestes, the installation projects onto the vault of the nave and transept of the Church of Saint-Eustache, transforming it into a kaleidoscope of light, form, and color. A custom software generates imaginary celestial maps in real time, creating ever-changing trompe-l'oeil effects that make the vault appear to open onto the night sky, inviting a contemplative and mystical atmosphere. The experience is amplified by an exceptional soundtrack: improvisations by Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard, official organist of Saint-Eustache, alongside the repertoire of the choir Les Chanteurs de Saint-Eustache.
