Miguel Chevalier's Magic Carpets Interactive Installation at MK Center
Miguel Chevalier, born in Mexico City in 1959, has created an interactive installation titled Magic Carpets, which has been touring globally for two years. The latest version is installed at the MK Center in Milton Keynes, UK, featuring generative software that produces geometric patterns inspired by Constructivism and local urban aesthetics. The installation responds to visitors' movements, creating a virtual carpet that changes in real time. An original musical composition by Ray Lee accompanies the experience, with visitors able to diffuse sound through handheld spheres. The space becomes a walkable kaleidoscope, inviting immersion and play with forms, colors, and optical illusions. A previous Italian version was realized in 2014 at Castel Del Monte in Puglia.
