Miguel Chevalier's Interactive Digital Carpet at Unicredit Pavilion, Milan

French artist Miguel Chevalier presents 'Onde Pixel – Lo Sguardo di… Miguel Chevalier' at Unicredit Pavilion in Milan, an interactive installation featuring a virtual carpet that responds to visitors' movements. The exhibition, running until August 28, 2016, integrates Chevalier's works with pieces from the Unicredit collection, including artists like Schifano, Matta, Vasarely, and Alice Cattaneo. The centerpiece is a generative digital carpet with sixty variants, including the '@' symbol, exploring themes of nature vs. artifice, digital flows, and virtual cities. A generative sound composition by Jacopo Baboni Schilingi changes based on visitor presence and motion. The installation is visible from Piazza Gae Aulenti at night. Serena Massimi, Head of Unicredit Pavilion, emphasizes the pavilion's mission of innovation and audience engagement. The exhibition is part of a series where artists interact with the collection; the next artist will be an Italian working with light.
