Miguel Chevalier's Generative Oscillations at Wood Street Galleries
French artist Miguel Chevalier presents a new generative installation at Wood Street Galleries in Pittsburgh, on view until April 5, 2020. The exhibition, titled 'Power Pixels 2020,' features two works: 'Oscillations 2020' and 'Complex Meshes.' 'Oscillations 2020' is an immersive environment of lights and colors that respond in real time to sound variations, with a soundtrack by Michel Redolfi. Colored waves and geometric formations continuously shift on a large screen, creating an infinite, hypnotic digital landscape. 'Complex Meshes' visualizes concepts of flow and networks, giving them tangible form through projections where elements float, intertwine, and transform. A video of the installation by Claude Mossessian accompanies the show.
