Miguel Ángel Tornero presents 'El estado de las cosas' at Galería Juan Silió in Santander from May 16 to July 11, 2026. The exhibition continues his exploration of photographic collage, using an iPhone to capture overlooked urban details. Tornero manually assembles these fragments into new landscapes where disparate elements enter into dialogue. The works gain three-dimensionality through superimposed photographic planes, echoing his previous shows in Madrid and at the Palacio de Cristal. Juan de Andrés describes the images as sculptural bodies that occupy space like augmented reality objects, inviting viewers to navigate the installation as if scanning a 3D object.
