other · 2026-04-27

Mick Jagger returns to the big screen after nearly two decades in 'The Burnt Orange Heresy', a thriller directed by Giuseppe Capotondi set in Italy between Milan and Lake Como. The film closed the last Venice Film Festival and will be released in US theaters on March 6. It follows the love story between charismatic art critic James Figueras (Claes Bang) and tourist Berenice Hollis (Elizabeth Debicki), who arrive at the luxurious estate of art collector Cassidy (Jagger). They are asked to steal a work from the studio of reclusive artist Jerome Debney (Donald Sutherland). Jagger's last film appearance was in 'The Man from Elysian Fields' (2001); his only previous art-world film role was in Mario Schifano's 'Umano, non umano' (1969).
