Michele Guido's First Solo Exhibition in Puglia at Palazzo Comi
Michele Guido (born 1979 in Aradeo, lives in Milan) presents his first solo exhibition in Puglia, titled "Stellaria solaris garden project_2016," curated by Lorenzo Madaro in collaboration with Galleria Lia Rumma, Milan. The show features site-specific works exploring the synergy between nature and architecture, space and artwork, macrocosm and microcosm. Central to Guido's research is the correlation between plant forms and geometric configurations, referencing architectural structures. The "stellaria solaris" is a shell evoking the marine flora of Capo di Leuca, which the artist links to the geometric structure of a leaf, becoming a three-dimensional temple. Another work depicts a cross-section of a lotus fruit, related to the rose window of Troia Cathedral, symbolizing the connection between heaven and earth. The exhibition runs until August 15, 2016, at Palazzo Comi in Gagliano del Capo.
