Michele Guido's Atalantia Garden Project 2025 at Paper Times Library in Xiamen
The Numero 51 gallery in Milan has initiated a residency program in collaboration with Thus Arts (Shanghai Shishouwenhua Ltd.) aimed at fostering artistic dialogue between Italy and China. The first artist in residence, Michele Guido (born 1976 in Lecce, Italy), is showcasing "Atalantia Garden Project 2025" at the Paper Times library in Xiamen until September 23. This exhibition consists of two distinct areas: one, only observable from the outside, features frottage artworks of Zelkova tree trunks and Robinia leaves, along with a floor adorned with lotus stems. The other area presents large dandelion leaves interspersed among literature on gardens and insects. Guido highlights the relationship between space and time, with painting and calligraphy being fluid in his creations.
