Michele De Lucchi on His New Role as Creative Director at Triennale Milano

Michele De Lucchi has been named Creative Director at Triennale Milano, in addition to his existing roles as Design Curator and Director of the Design Museum, as announced with Vincenzo Trione's new presidency. He collaborates with Manuela Lucà-Dazio and Andrea Villani on a scientific committee. De Lucchi's connection to the institution began in 1973, when he staged a protest as a Napoleonic general. He believes that designers influence human behavior and has revitalized Giovanni Muzio's 1930s architecture at Palazzo Dell'Arte. His vision focuses on enhancing Italian craftsmanship and sustainability, with upcoming exhibitions that will explore themes of truth, sustainability, and recyclability, benefiting from the committee's global insights.
