Michelangelo Pistoletto's Terzo Paradiso Project Arrives at Brazil's 19th Arte Serrinha Festival
The Terzo Paradiso initiative by Michelangelo Pistoletto has been active for almost ten years, utilizing mathematical principles to encourage actions that honor nature, urban environments, and humanity. This project merges the first circle of the infinity symbol (representing nature) with the second (symbolizing artificial needs) to form a third circle that signifies a new humanity. It has been presented in various formats, notably a large installation at the 19th Arte Serrinha Festival in Bragança Paulista, curated by Marcello Dantas and Catarina Duncan, which will be available online until November under the theme Art and Science. Constructed from local stones, this installation is now included in the festival's permanent collection. At 86, Pistoletto, having recovered from Covid-19, continues to promote sustainable harmony between nature and society through his Cittadellarte center in Biella.
