Michelangelo Pistoletto Opens Hotel Cittadellarte in Biella

Michelangelo Pistoletto has inaugurated Hotel Cittadellarte within his Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella, Italy. The 31-room hotel features the exhibition "L'ospite inatteso" by Giuseppe Stampone, curated by Ilaria Bernardi, with each room containing a unique artwork. The hotel was presented during the 28th edition of Arte al Centro 2026, whose theme is hospitality. Stampone's works include his "Fotocopie intelligenti" series, large tapestries from the Brioni manufactory in Penne, "Golden Residences" mattresses, and "abecedari" dedicated to Pistoletto. The building was sustainably renovated with PNRR funds, incorporating geothermal systems. Additionally, Cittadellarte launched the Terme Culturali, a project by Armona Pistoletto offering immersive workshops such as ManifestAZIONE, cerAMICA, MANOscritto, and fotoGRAFIA interiorista. The Arte al Centro 2026 program includes exhibitions "Dans les plis – Ogni punto è il centro dell'universo" at the Museo del Presente, "CirculART 4.0" in collaboration with Kering's Material Innovation Lab, and "Ecosystems as Living Communities vol. II" with artists Eliza Collin and Emma Zerial, supported by UniCredit.
