Michela Giraud and Maria Onori Launch Art History Podcast 'Gioconde' on Spotify

Comedian and actress Michela Giraud, known for her Netflix show 'La verità, lo giuro!' and Amazon Prime's 'Lol', has launched a podcast titled 'Gioconde' on Spotify and other platforms. Giraud, who holds a degree in art history, co-hosts the series with her friend and fellow art history student Maria Onori, a doctoral candidate at Sapienza University of Rome. The podcast debuted in September 2023 via Instagram announcement, with episodes starting in October. Each of the six episodes humorously and irreverently covers artists such as Raphael, Titian, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Guido Reni, Vincenzo Gemito, and Wassily Kandinsky. Notable guests include Francesca Cappelletti, director of the Galleria Borghese in Rome; sculptor Jago; journalist and art historian Fabrizio Federici; and radio host, DJ, and writer Ema Stokholma. Episodes discuss specific works like Titian's 'Sacred and Profane Love' (1514) and Bernini's 'The Rape of Proserpina' (1621-1622).
