Michael Simpson Awarded 2016 John Moores Painting Prize at Walker Art Gallery
Michael Simpson has been named the recipient of the 2016 John Moores Painting Prize, receiving a £25,000 cash award. His winning work, Squint (19) from 2015, will be featured in the John Moores Painting Prize 2016 exhibition at Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery from 9 July to 27 November. The exhibition coincides with Liverpool Biennial 2016 and includes 54 additional shortlisted paintings.
