Michael Jordan donated $5 million to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, a new Smithsonian branch opening in Washington on September 24. In recognition, the museum will name a hall after him, The Michael Jordan Hall, dedicated to 16 great African American athletes, and will display a 1996 Jordan jersey donated for the permanent collection. Separately, Shaquille O'Neal has partnered with gallerist Larry Gagosian to co-produce a film titled Killer Bees about a high school basketball team in Bridgehampton defending their state title.
