Michael Graves Architecture Acquires Indiana-Based Peterson Architecture
Princeton-based Michael Graves Architecture (MG) has acquired Peterson Architecture, a Noblesville, Indiana firm founded by Darren Peterson in 1996. The deal expands MG's Midwest presence, according to a statement from CEO Joe Furey, who noted the late Michael Graves—born in Indianapolis in 1934—would be proud. Peterson's portfolio includes municipal, public safety, retail, industrial, and medical projects; its leadership will remain active on the Indiana team. Furey, who became president in 2018, has pursued multiple acquisitions, including Waldon Studio Architects and PGN Architects. He also integrates technology consulting, using AI in real estate development. Peterson called joining the firm meaningful, having studied Graves in college. MG was founded in 1964.
