Michael Govan to Receive 2015 Leo Award from International Curators International

Michael Govan is set to receive the 2015 Leo Award from International Curators International, in recognition of his outstanding impact on contemporary art. This accolade will be presented at ICI's 40th Anniversary benefit and auction on November 18. Since 2006, Govan has served as the director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, prior to which he was the president and director of New York's Dia Art Foundation. He also held the position of deputy director at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum for six years, managing its sites in New York, Venice, and Bilbao. Notable past awardees include Roy and Dorothy Lichtenstein, Miuccia Prada, Dasha Zhukova, and last year's honoree, Dimitris Daskalopoulos. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Leo Award.
