Michael Devis Transposes Street Art to Museum in São Paulo Exhibition

exhibition · 2026-04-19

Michael Devis presents 25 recent works in 'Loli World – Um mundo além da Arte Urbana' at CAIXA Cultural São Paulo until January 11, 2026. The self-taught artist from Curitiba began graffiti at age 13 and has since exhibited across Brazil and over twenty countries. His visual research incorporates pop and street culture elements, addressing identity, memory, and collective urban experience. Central to his work are the Lolitas, blue-haired characters inspired by Japanese pop culture, which mediate between real and imaginary worlds. The exhibition features sound installations, collages, lights, and objects, creating an immersive environment that explores the intersection of graffiti, painting, and sensory experience. Devis aims to translate his urban practice into a museum context, bringing street vitality and memory into the exhibition space. The show is located at Praça da Sé, 111, Centro, São Paulo, with free admission and open Tuesday to Sunday from 8 AM to 7 PM.
