Actress Micaela Ramazzotti makes her directorial debut with 'Felicità,' a film selected for the 80th Venice International Film Festival in the Orizzonti Extra section. The film explores themes of selfishness, manipulation, toxic family relationships, and mental health. Ramazzotti also wrote and stars in the film, which follows protagonist Desiré and her dysfunctional family, the Mazzonis. The cast includes Matteo Olivetti, Anna Galiena, Max Tortora, and Sergio Rubini. Ramazzotti co-wrote the screenplay with Isabella Cecchi and Alessandra Guidi. The film is inspired by real events and examines pathological family dynamics, psychiatric care, unbalanced relationships, and social mediocrity. 'Felicità' will be released in Italian cinemas on September 21, distributed by 01 Distribution. Ramazzotti describes cinema as having a healing power and expresses gratitude for her acting career under renowned directors. The film's title references Raffaella Carrà's interpretation of happiness, not the song by Albano and Romina Power.
