MIC Faenza Brings Italian Ceramic Excellence to Korea's Gyeonggi Biennale

exhibition · 2026-05-05

The Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche (MIC) in Faenza has organized 'In the Earth Time,' an exhibition for the Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale in South Korea, curated by Irene Biolchini. The show features 22 Italian artists selected from four generations, all participants of the Premio Faenza, the oldest Italian ceramics prize established in 1938. The exhibition aligns with the Biennale's theme 'Ode to Life' and is divided into four sections: From Still Life to Dematerialization of the Object; Body as a Tool for Measuring Time; Apocalypse; and Spirituality Beyond Matter. Artists include Salvatore Arancio, Francesco Ardini, Chiara Camoni, Giacinto Cerone, Andrea Salvatori, and others. The event runs from April 22 to May 28, 2017, at the World Ceramic Livingware Gallery in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. This partnership highlights Faenza's global reputation as a center for ceramic art.
