Miaz Brothers' Blurred Paintings Stand Out at Art New York Fair

The Miaz Brothers, originally from Milan and now based in Valencia, presented large blurred paintings at the Art New York fair through May 6. Their works, shown by Miami's Fabien Castanier Gallery, resemble out-of-focus portraits reminiscent of Gainsborough or Ingres but feature original compositions not directly borrowed from art history. Art New York, held at Pier 94, featured numerous blue-chip artworks purchased by mega-collectors before public access. Amid predictable offerings, the fair included booths with less conventional selections. The Miaz Brothers' paintings provided a distinctive contrast to the typical art fair fare.
