Miart postponed to September 2020 due to COVID-19
Milan's contemporary art fair miart has been rescheduled from April to September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 25th edition will now take place at fieramilanocity from September 11 to 13, with a preview on September 10. The decision follows the postponement of Salone del Mobile to June and the Venice Architecture Biennale to late August. The new dates place miart at the start of Italy's art season, coinciding with Milano ArtWeek (September 7–13). Organizers stated they have been working intensively with stakeholders to reprogram city events and ensure quality. The fair was originally scheduled for April 17–19. Other postponed events include Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Dubai, and the Perugia Journalism Festival (moved to 2021). The article also mentions an interactive installation by Olafur Eliasson promoted by Fondazione Trussardi that was canceled.
