miart 2024 Announces 181 Galleries, New Sections, and 10 Prizes
The 28th miart, Milan's international fair for modern and contemporary art, is set to take place from April 12 to 14, 2024, at Allianz MiCo. Under the direction of Nicola Ricciardi, this year's event will showcase 181 galleries from 28 nations, marking a significant rise from the previous year. Newcomers include Helena Anrather, Galerie Buchholz, and Emanuela Campoli, among others. Two curated sections will debut: Portal, featuring twelve galleries, and Timescape, which will delve into various historical periods. A total of ten awards will be presented, including the €100,000 Fondazione Fiera Milano Acquisition Fund and new accolades for the Portal section. The fair aligns with MIA Photo Fair and Milano Art Week (April 8–14), offering initiatives like 'Comete' and a site-specific project by David Horvitz. Intesa Sanpaolo, the main partner, will host an exhibition highlighting young artists.
