MIA Tower, an 18-story residential tower designed by Lombardini22 and marketed by Abitare Co., is rising on the site of the former Ex Manifattura Tabacchi in Milan's Bicocca district. The project consists of two connected towers with a central core, featuring continuous loggias, bioclimatic greenhouses, and shared coworking spaces. It is part of the Piano Integrato di Intervento dell’Ex Manifattura Tabacchi, a masterplan approved by the city in 2007. The tobacco factory operated from 1929 to 1999; its redevelopment follows Gregotti's masterplan for the ex-Pirelli area, alongside the University of Milano-Bicocca, HangarBicocca, and BiM Milano. The tower offers apartments from studios to penthouses, plus a gym, cinema, coworking, play areas, and a public piazza. Sustainability focuses on energy efficiency and long-term adaptability.
