MIA Photo Fair 2018: Expanded International Presence and New Awards

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The eighth edition of the MIA Photo Fair is scheduled to take place from March 9 to 12, 2018, at The Mall in Milan. This year, the event will showcase 130 exhibitors, with 37 coming from abroad, a significant increase from 2017. Participating countries include Germany, France, the USA, and China. The fair's visual identity was crafted by South African artist Siwa Mgoboza. Returning sponsors include BNL, Lavazza, and Eberhard & Co. A new feature, the Premio Archivi Aperti, joins the existing Premio BNL and Premio RaM Sarteano. The Premio BNL will recognize one of 15 finalists, such as Regina Anzenberger and Gian Paolo Barbieri. In honor of International Women's Day, BNL will display works by Marie Bovo and others. Additionally, the Lavazza calendar will focus on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals, designed by Armando Testa and captured by Platon.
