Mia 2020: Audiovisual Market Goes Hybrid at Palazzo Barberini
The sixth edition of Mia – Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo is set to occur at Palazzo Barberini in Rome from October 14 to 18, 2020. This year’s event adopts a hybrid format, combining in-person activities with Mia Digital. A total of fifty projects from more than twenty nations have been chosen, with half of them helmed by female directors. Among the featured works are Laura Luchetti's The Beautiful Summer, Alex Rodrigo's The Last Shot, and Christopher Murray's The Sorcerers. A new addition is The Producer's Keynote series, featuring Michael Ellenberg, the former Head of Drama at HBO. Additionally, the Drama Series category showcases Lafayette, created by Nicolas Deprost and written by David Franzoni. Juan Martin Guevara will present Mio fratello il Che in Mia-Doc, along with discussions on content development and distribution.
